Introduction
There are loads of places to get your swing on if you’re looking to play crazy golf in the City, but today we are talking about Junkyard Golf London.
I have been to a few crazy golf courses in and around London and have always had a good time (As well as nearly getting killed by a rogue ball whilst I was innocently enjoying my drink) but after visiting Junkyard golf London I have to say, the others just don’t compare! It is literally Crazy golf on speed!
Today I am going to talk about my experience and answer some commonly asked questions including why you NEED to check it out!
The Venue
As soon as you walk in to Junkyard golf London you are hit with the bright neon lights, loud party music and funky decor. I knew as soon as I arrived that this was no ordinary crazy golf course and I was in for a good time!
They have a large bar area that serves food and the coolest cocktails. All the cocktails are sweet themed and come with lots of treats on top. They also do frozen cocktails and quirky shots.
When you arrive you need to head to the desk that’s covered in multi coloured golf balls to get your wrist band. You can also check your coats in here, which was handy for us as we chose to attend whilst the country was in the grips of storm Eunice! I really didn’t fancy lugging my massive winter coat around so this was really convenient.
You will have picked your course when you booked so let the host behind the desk know which one you have chosen.
You will then be directed down the corridor to your chosen course.
Courses
There are 4 courses at Junkyard golf London. They all have a unique and really impressive theme!
We played on the Bozo course – described as ‘fairground creeps and circus freaks’. This one appealed to me from the description on the website –
Roll up, roll up! It’s the creepiest show on earth. Hate clowns? GOOD! Face your fears through 9 holes of circus freaks & fairground creeps. Check out the Ferris Wheel, Hall of Mirrors and avoid some pretty sh*t scary clowns. Time to run away from the circus…
It starts with a bang! The first hole is a mirror maze and I didn’t know where the actual hole was but it was super fun trying to find it!
As you work your way through there is loads to see. Each hole is really well created and interactive too. It was really fun trying to figure out where the ball is going to go and how to find the hole.
I couldn’t wait to see what the next hole was going to be like. You could tell the owners had put a lot of thought and effort into every single one.
The vibe throughout was great. Party music continued to play on every course and like all good golf courses, there was a bar at the end!
We were lucky enough to have the whole course to ourselves but I think even when its busy, it wouldn’t feel cramped and you wouldn’t have the horrible feeling of being rushed by the group behind. They also politely ask you to take 8 shots and if you still cant get it in the hole, move on. I like this as it stops a build up of people hanging around and getting frustrated.
The other courses are just as good and we had a sneaky peak at them.
The Dirk course is described as ‘Acid house of horrors’ which is a pretty psychedelic and interactive course, perfect to relive some 80’s acid house nostalgia. Its described as follows –
An all-nighter rave straight outa the 90s, get trippy across 9 holes set in an abandoned warehouse of pure 90s rave. Tread carefully as you putt across distorted floors, get lost in dirk’s disco den and stroke the furry walls. Are you in?!
The Gary course is described as ‘Scrapyard slides and disco vibes. This course is scrapyard themed and the description on the website says –
You used to call me on my shellphone… late night snacks. This course has all of your garage needs, think 90’s tunes, a scrapyard slide and of course, a UV garage room! Wind your way through written-off cars and auto- junk!
I really love the look of this one, especially with the slide! I cannot wait to go back and give this one a go!
The last course is called Pablo – a jungle themed course. It is described on the website as follows –
Discover polluted paradise as you putt through Pablo’s UFC bears, pirate speedboats and glitter temples, covered in the skulls of failed players. Dare you enter tropical madness…
I REALLY enjoyed Bozo but REALLY want to try out the other courses too! I felt like a kid in a candy store. I wanted to see and do it all!
Once You’re Finished Playing
When you’re done with thrashing your mates at golf you are welcome to stay for food and drink.
We stayed for a pretty long time in the bar as the vibe and atmosphere was really good! I would happily come here just for drinks and imagine it gets pretty busy at the weekend.
You can also purchase some merchandise such as neon golf hats. A great idea if you’re heading there for a birthday or event.
I loved the design of the bar as I am like a magpie, anything bright and shiny and I am instantly attracted.
I could have happily stayed there all day!

What Is The Best Course At Junkyard Golf London?
This is completely down to personal preference. Each course has some really great things to offer! Above I have put a description from each course taken from the website but you can also have a look on the Junkyard Golf site.
As I said I played Bozo which I thought was brilliant! But would like to try out the other courses too as they all have some really fun features!
How Late Can You Be At Junkyard Golf London?
Junkyard golf London closes pretty late on a Friday and Saturday at 12:30am. So plenty of time to eat, drink, golf and dance. mid week it closes at 12am and Sundays it’s 10pm.
How Many Holes Are On The Junkyard Golf London Courses?
Each course has 9 holes and you have up to 8 shots each before its time to admit defeat and move on to the next hole.
Are Drinks Included At Junkyard Golf London?
Drinks are not included in the price, but the price of the tickets are so reasonable its not an issue. Also as London prices go, the drinks prices here are really decent!
How Much Is A Game?
Off peak tickets are £11 a game and peak tickets are £13 a game. BARGAIN!
Are Children Allowed At Junkyard Golf London?
Under 18’s are allowed but only at certain times. I think this is a good shout as it is great for kids but the venue is going to be full of lively adults on the weekends and evenings.
Under 18’s can go from Sunday – Wednesday before 7pm, but the last availability will be 6pm.
